New 8 - 12 GHz Frequency Synthesizer

Luff Research is pleased to introduce our latest frequency synthesizer designs.  These TLSD/TLS2 units operate across the whole 8 – 12 GHz band and provide excellent spectral quality; typically better than -85 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz off the carrier at 12 GHz.

These units are very system friendly, providing interface options of RS232, RS422 and RS485 within the unit.  There is also a provision for multiple units on one bus.  The reference frequency can also be selected within the unit.

The TLSD unit is housed in an EMI shielded enclosure with filtered connectors for minimum radiation.  The TLS2 is a similar design housed in a smaller housing and is not specifically EMI shielded.

These low cost frequency synthesizers offer excellent performance in a unit with proven quality and reliability.

 We are specialists at integrating multiple frequency sources in one assembly.  We have developed sources that are highly integrated for system level applications and multiple sources for drawer level applications as well.

New ultra broadband synthesizer

A unique new design results in a frequency synthesizer that covers continuously the frequency range of 500 MHz to 6250 MHz with 100 kHz steps.

Ultra low noise clean-up phase-locked oscillators

Modern atomic frequency sources and clock recovery systems give primary frequencies which are extremely stable but do not have the adequate spectral quality (extremely low phase noise and spurious) for many modern system performance requirements.

 

Luff offers a line of clean-up phase-locked oscillators that lock a very clean TCXO to an input reference.  The resulting signal from the PLO has the long term stability of the reference input and the excellent spectral quality of our TCXO.
